Suburban Learning Center (SLC) is a private group of learning consultants and remedial specialists dedicated to helping students with mild to moderate learning differences. SLC has been serving South Orange/Maplewood and the surrounding communities since 1980.

SLC specializes in individualized tutoring specifically designed to reflect each student's unique learning style. Remedial techniques are based on research-validated methodologies with an emphasis on multisensory procedures. Study skills and organizational strategies are taught relative to the demands of the student's curriculum. Each tutoring session is carefully designed based on the set objectives, the student's response to instruction, and parental input regarding the student's performance at home and school.
